Welcome home! Take off your shoes in comfort while seated on this stylish minimal bench. This bench is just what you need in your entryway.
With it’s hairpin legs and its solid mahogany slab top, we designed this bench to be especially at home in any mid century style abode. The warm tones of mahogany are balanced with the cool simplicity of the steel. It has a subtle presence with a solid quality feel.
It would also work well in a space with some industrial accents where just bit of warmth is needed. It would be a great housewarming gift for a new homeowner.
MATERIALS AND SUSTAINABILITY
This bench is constructed from African Mahogany which has gorgeous ribbon grain. This unique grain pattern is due to the fact that the trees grow in a continuous spiral, compared to most trees that grow yearly rings. All of our wood comes from sawmills that practice sustainable forestry, FSC-Certfied or better.
We finish the mahogany with shellac and spar varnish, in order to have the best durability against moisture from damp coats, hats, or gloves. If moisture is not a large concern for your usage, we can also use our no-VOC oil-wax finish. Select your preference from the drop down list when placing your order.
The bench’s steel legs are also handmade from cold-rolled steel which has smooth, industrial surface. We give the legs a light polishing with steel wool to brighten it up and give it a slightly softer satin look.

SHIPPING AND ASSEMBLY
This bench ships disassembled via UPS or FedEx. All all of the holes are pre-drilled with brass inserts installed, and tested for fit ahead of time. After you unpack your bench, you’ll simply need to position the legs over the brass inserts and use the included machine screws to secure them in place.
We use brass threaded inserts on the bottom of the bench so it can be assembled and disassembled as needed for moving and storage. Inserts allow us to use machine screws rather than wood screws. These thread in easily and will not loosen up over time the way wood screws might with repeated assembly and disassembly.
