Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take custom orders?

Yes!  Please contact us to discuss your project.

I like your ________, but I'd like it in a different wood/finish/color/shape/size/etc. Is that possible?

Yes, almost any thing we do can be customized.  Please contact us.  We’d be thrilled to work with you.

Does your furniture contain particle board?

No!  We use the best materials for the job only.  So far, we haven’t found particle board to do the job well in any situation.   We generally use solid hardwood for our furniture pieces and furniture-grade plywoods for cabinetry.  Our material selection and construction methods ensure that these products will last for generations and age gracefully over the years.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

Shipping furniture can be complicated, but we try and keep it simple for our customers!

For Smaller Items:  We will ship through UPS or FedEx.  Expedited shipping is available upon request.

For Larger Items:  We offer flat rate shipping inside the Continental US.  If you live in an eligible area, we also include white glove delivery.   That means a delivery person will bring your furniture to your house, set it up, and take away any packaging.   For areas where white glove service is not available, your furniture will be shipped freight, to your door.

We also offer discounted local delivery within a 2-hour driving radius to our shop.  If you are in an eligible zip code, you will see this option on the checkout page.

Local pickup at our shop is always an option too.  With larger items, we ask that you contact us first to be sure they will fit in your vehicle.

If you have any additional shipping questions, please contact us!

Do You Ship Internationally?

We are happy to quote international shipping on any of our items.   Please contact us for more information about this.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

For online orders on our shop, we accept all major credit cards.  We also allow checkout with an Amazon account.

What is Milk Paint?

Milk Paint is a wonderful, non-toxic, water-based, highly protective paint.  It is made from milk and lime with or without pigments added for color.    It was historically used in Colonial America as well as many other places before then, and is to credit for the luscious, velvety texture of painted furniture from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
